Douglas Appleton is a US Pacific Fleet Commander and a psychic of Union known as the White Whale by the League and the Flying Admiral in the Union.

Douglas is a caucasian middle-aged man in military uniform.
Personality[]
Similar to Abraham, Douglas has a strong sense of justice, which is noted to be almost misguided, placing all the blame of allowing Rebellion to remain active despite the Union doing the same to maintain the power balance. He has no compassion for the innocent civilians living in Japan, having no qualms to release his Super Air Battleship Enterprise's weapons to eliminate numerous citizens, showing neither remorse nor consciousness for likely killing scores of hundreds of thousands or even millions of people.
Douglas also openly mocked Kurono for retiring from the frontline for her family and that she could've prevented their deaths if she hadn't retired. It was later revealed that his firm belief in the Union's justice is due to the fact that his son died believing in it and wouldn't believe that their side was wrong even if he realized that Union was also involved with Rebellion.

At some point, Douglas became a Desperado and was known as the Strongest in the Union prior to the arrival of Abraham Carter.
Abilities[]
Desperado: Douglas was a Desperado, a being whose broken the chains of fate that bound him by achieving his awakening. As such, he has far greater magic compared to a normal Blazer since he can increase it by training. He was stated as being strongest in Union before the arrival of Abraham Carter.
Floating Manipulation: His ability as a Psychic, Douglas is able to make things float.
Equipment[]
Super Air Battleship Enterprise: Douglas' Device is recorded as the largest device, taking the form of an enormous white battleship measured to be 500 meters and 120,000 tons, which can float using his Blazer power. His device has also been enhanced using the US' technologies such as 30 armaments and 500 EDYs, which combined with his abilities and weapons, Kurono called it Monster-Class. His device was modified using Carl's abilities turning it into bio-metal, letting it purge Kurono's bullets imbued with Clock on Death.
