The Secret Swords (
Description[]
The Secret Swords are seven sword techniques, which Ikki Kurogane had created in order to make up for his lack of magic and just focused training in swordsmanship and martial arts. He has revealed a number of these secret swords in battles against other Blazers during the Seven Stars Sword Art Festival Selection Matches. At first, a lot of his secret swords relied on using his Ittou Shura and wouldn't have work overwise, however, using Blade Steal to "steal" Edelweiss' Swordsmanship, Ikki became able to utilize his various secret swords without needing to use his limited Noble Art having undergone an explosive growth.
In the finals of the 62nd Seven Stars Sword Art Festival, Ikki invented his Final Sword (
In the Vermillion Empire Arc, Ikki could combine his Seven Secret Swords into one as shown when he powered Rekkou using Donkuga-no-Taichi. He is noted as being able to combine them with the other techniques that he learned, as he combined Amatsukaze and Raikou creating Amatsu Raikou (
Techniques[]
Seven Secret Swords[]
- Saigeki (
犀撃 Saigeki, lit. "Rhinoceros Strike"): A charging and anti-material strike, where Ikki uses his arm and leg strength alongside his power charging speed combined with his superhuman body control; focusing all the vectors of his power directed at the point of his sword, granting it the highest offensive power among his secret swords and making it the quickest to charge. Ittou Shura was first required to use this Saigeki, but after learning Edelweiss' technique, Ikki is able to use it without Ittou Shura. - Rekkou (
裂甲 Rekkō, lit. "Rend Armor"): A point-blank slash, where Ikki uses his bodies' lower torque in order to strike his opponent despite having first blocked their attack. - Madoka (
円 Madoka, lit. "Circle"): Ikki receives an attack, taking the power, then he rotates himself around as if making a circle, then send it back as a counter. Madoka has shown to be useful against more powerful opponents such as Ouma and Stella. He has evolved it in the 62nd Seven Stars Sword Art Festival Final to where Ikki doesn't even require to spin himself around anymore, he instead uses his broad back muscles to transfer the force into his next attacks. Stella stated that in order for this to happen, his muscles must be as loose as jelly, looser than normal, it is dangerous as even a moment of stiffness would result in his muscles to explode from the force being redirected. - Shinkirou (
蜃気狼 Shinkirō, lit. "Mirage Wolf"): Through using radical footwork, Ikki creates an afterimage before himself while running to confuse his opponent, then vanish like a mirage after being struck. It is also possible to use Shinkirou at various angles and directions making it more versatile, which Ikki used against Yuudai. - Kuruizakura (
狂い桜 Kuruizakura, lit. "Off-Season Sakura"): A sword attack that has a delayed effect, in which Ikki uses slashes that possesses a certain amount of force and other mechanisms to create wounds that wouldn't open until later on. - Dokuga no Tachi (
毒蛾の太刀 Dokuga-no-Tachi, lit. "Poisonous Moth Long Sword"): Ikki has all of the muscles from his feet to fingers work together to create vibrations, so that the moment that his blade comes into contact with an opponent's weapon or armor, the vibrations are transferred into their body causing numbness in their muscles forcing them to drop their weapons and even affecting internal organs. - Raikou (
雷光 Raikō, lit. "Lightning"): The fastest among his secret swords, where Ikki performs a sword swing at such speed, which exceeds a person's dynamic vision making it appear as if it were an invisible slash. At first, it required Ittou Shura but after learning Edelweiss' Swordsmanship, his reflexes and speed are fast enough to able to use this without using Ittou Shura.
Final Secret Sword[]
- Oikage (
追影 Oikage, lit. "Seeking Shadow"): His Final Sword (終の秘剣 Tsui no Hiken, lit. "Final Secret Sword"), a technique that Ikki developed to defeat Stella in the final match of the 62nd Seven Stars Sword Art Festival. After breaking the chains of fate binding him, he puts all the excess magic he gained to activate Ittou Rasetsu and uses a battōjutsu, in which he puts his right hand on the hilt pushing it, while his left hand is on the blade pulling Intetsu back, then unleashes a slash so fast that his shadow couldn't keep up with his movements.
